dear geneva:
I have an app, ..., "IP Address Menu," I started it up. Was asked if I want to display the apps icon in the toolbar. Then, after a time, the app's icon disapeared, ..., then, lately I decided I wanted to update the app, so, first I was asked to delete the app, IP Address Menu," before I install the update, but, I could not find the app on the desktop anywhere, so, I decided to and tried to delete the app from the finder, but, I could not as I was told that I could not delete the app as it was and is still running, so, now the app is still running out of site, and I now want to delete it for keeps but, I can't find it anywhere, where can I find IT, and delete it, after I shut it down+ |

I had a 2-Wire Wireless Router from Telus and our two Mac Laptops, two printers and an Ipod Touch worked very well. Always a good internet connection. The router was in the basement and the laptops and Ipod were upstairs. We use the 26 character WEP network security.
The 2-Wire Router failed and Telus sent us a new Siemens Gigaset 5BE router. The laptops and printers work pretty well wirelessly but the Ipod has great difficulty connecting to the new network router. Many times it says it cannot join the network. We have tried reseting the IPod and the router but it does not seem to help. The signal strength indicator on the Ipod shows usually the lowest bar sometimes two, very rarely three. Is there a difference in signal strength between the 2-Wire router and the Siemens? Is there a setting on the Siemens router that needs changing. I contacted Telus about this problem and they basically said they don't support the Ipod and I should reset my router and select a different channel, which I did with no change. |
